Client: A RegTech Company
My Role: Lead UI/UX Designer
This emerging RegTech company has enlisted our company to modernize their out-of-date systems. I am currently the lead in updating these platforms and working with their customers to find the best approach forward.
Designing this system has been a bit different from the usual client as we’re updating an existing platform. We’re working on this through a phased process leading with a reskin of all the products. This approach ensures we don’t shock users too harshly by moving buttons and dropdowns around too much.
The final phase of redesigning the entire product is at least a year out from now.
In order to further unite the different systems, we’ve created a universal style guide. This style guide takes into account all the different components the products are built from and brings them together under one brand. The goal is to sell the products as a package and empower the user to move between platforms with ease.
If they’ve learned how one functions, the visual cues and button placements will translate to the other products. This helps increase work productivity and decrease the learning curve.
Phase 3 and Beyond
This is a taste of where we’re heading after the reskin is complete.
The dashboard for all of the modules will be completely streamlined and allow users to move from module to module without having to return to the home screen.
